Our SERPENTINO bracelet is handcrafted by Colombian jewelers, inspired by pre-Columbian symbolism and artistry. For pre-Columbian civilizations, forms and patterns were rarely just decorative; they carried deep symbolic, religious, and cosmological meanings. Geometric patterns adorned diverse artifacts like pottery, textiles, and goldwork, being a rich form of communication. The fluid and looping shapes of this design evoke natural forms such as serpents, waves, and cycles – key sources of inspirations in pre-Columbian art and cosmology. Inspired by artifacts at the Museum of Gold in Bogotá, Colombia, home to the world's largest pre-Columbian gold collection, it is crafted in 24K gold-plated pewter with a protective cataphoretic lacquer for higher durability and radiance.
