Our TIGER mini bookmark is a painted echo of the vibrant Carnival of Barranquilla, a port city on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. It has been crafted from wood, hand-carved, and painted by Colombian artisans. It is inspired by the masks and folklore of the carnival, an artistic tradition celebrated every February and recognized by UNESCO as a Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Our artisans have dedicated decades to the art of the carnival and have turned their work into a regional legacy. Each bookmark is coated with a protective, waterproof lacquer and is completed with a strong and long-lasting cord. Beyond functional, its colorful design makes it a lovely decorative piece for any book.
