Long and adjustable, it's handcrafted by two female artisans in Cajicá, a Colombian commuter town near Bogotá. There, they collect discarded orange peels from fresh juice shops and transform them into gorgeous, exclusive necklaces that maintain the fruit's natural aroma. The creation of each piece involves a meticulous cleaning of the peels, boiling and dyeing them with natural and mineral pigments, different drying stages, cutting them into strips, and finally mounting them on a very sturdy waxed cotton cord. Each necklace is treated to prevent deterioration over time. It's decorated with wooden beads and 24K gold-plated pewter accents, which are protected with a special cataphoretic lacquer for lasting shine and durability. What are you waiting for?  CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Avoid direct contact with perfume and/or body lotion, and do not soak the product in water. If the necklace gets a little wet from rain, simply let it air dry completely. To clean it, gently use a dry cloth and do not use any cleaning solutions. To maintain the quality and vibrant colors of the peels, apply a small amount of color-neutral beeswax with a soft cloth and carefully buff to a gentle shine. We recommend doing this once every six months if the necklace is worn often. To prevent the peels from dehydrating, protect your product from prolonged or frequent exposure to direct sunlight. To preserve the necklace's natural aroma for longer, store it in the complimentary airtight bag and keep it in the accompanying pouch in a dry place.
