CORDÚLA NECKLACE - Handmade - 24K gold-plated - Leather, semi-precious stones
Estimated delivery date in Europe (Day/Month): 00/00 - 00/00
Handmade by Colombian jewelers, our CORDÚLA necklace celebrates pre-Columbian artistry. Its intricate central pendant symbolizes a Calima chest ornament. The Calima were a pre-Columbian civilization in ancient Colombia, and their shamans wore gold and copper chest ornaments during ceremonies as symbols of power and cosmovision. Leather cords, stones, and other pre-Columbian inspired charms (Tairona frog, nose ring, and poporo) adorn the design. The pendant is fitted with a back hoop and sliding barrel to adjust and secure the cords' length. Inspired by artifacts at the Museum of Gold in Bogotá, Colombia, home to the world's largest pre-Columbian gold collection, the pendant and charms are crafted in 24K gold-plated pewter with a cataphoretic lacquer finish for higher durability and radiance.
