Our ANAÏS ring is handcrafted by Colombian artisans with a special affinity for pre-Columbian cultures. Its elegant shape symbolizes a Calima chest ornament. Calima was a pre-Columbian civilization that thrived in modern Colombian territory. Their shamans and leaders wore gold and copper chest ornaments during ceremonies as symbols of power and cosmovision. The design was inspired by artifacts at Bogota's Museum of Gold, Colombia's capital, home to the world's largest collection of pre-Columbian goldwork. The ring is carefully crafted in 24K gold-plated pewter with a protective cataphoretic lacquer finish for higher durability and a glossy touch.
