Our NARIGUERA ring is handcrafted by Colombian artisans passionate about pre-Columbian cultures. Its form and name mean "nose ring" in Spanish, a recurrent shape in many of our pre-Columbian inspired pieces with variations. Nose rings were a decorative element for many pre-Columbian tribes, symbolizing status and kinship. This design was inspired by pre-Columbian objects exhibited at Bogota's Museum of Gold, Colombia's capital, home to the world's largest collection of pre-Columbian goldwork. The ring is carefully crafted in 24K gold-plated pewter with a protective cataphoretic lacquer finish for higher durability and an elegant, shiny touch.
