Our TORTUGA earrings are an artisanal creation by Colombian artisans, inspired by pre-Columbian cultures and nature's beauty. Adorn your ears with these small, shiny sea turtles – wonderful creatures that predate dinosaurs! For this design, the artisans thought of Colombia's extraordinary biodiversity, as the nation is celebrated as the world's second most biodiverse country after Brazil. Colombia also boasts a significant portion of global turtle diversity, holding approximately 9-10% of total species. These earrings are carefully crafted in 24K gold-plated pewter with a protective cataphoretic lacquer finish, for higher durability and an elegant, glossy touch.
