Our CYCLO GRANDE earrings are designed and handcrafted by Colombian artisans with a special affinity for pre-Columbian cultures and art. This spiral design, a highly recurring shape in nature, was known as the Spiral of Life for many pre-Columbian cultures, representing a cyclical view of life, death, and rebirth. This design was inspired by pre-Columbian artifacts exhibited at the Museum of Gold in Bogota, Colombia's capital, home to the world's largest collection of pre-Columbian goldwork. These earrings are carefully crafted in 24K gold-plated pewter with a protective cataphoretic lacquer finish for higher durability and an elegant luminous touch.
