QUIMBAYA BRACELET - Handmade - 24K gold-plated - Agates, turquoises
Estimated delivery date in Europe (Day/Month): 00/00 - 00/00
Our QUIMBAYA bracelet, designed and handcrafted by Colombian jewelers, draws inspiration from pre-Columbian gold body ornaments. Ancient Colombia flourished with various indigenous civilizations (Muiscas, Tayrona, Quimbaya, and Calima are a few examples), all celebrated for their graceful gold creations. To them, gold symbolized power, spiritual connection, and artistic expression, creating sacred utensils, tools, and ornaments. The Museum of Gold in Bogotá, Colombia, proudly houses the world's largest collection of pre-Columbian goldwork, with over 55,000 pieces. For this bracelet, our artisans aimed to capture that rich history and sophistication of gold, harmoniously blended with agate's vibrancy and turquoise's charm. This piece is crafted in 24K gold-plated pewter with a cataphoretic lacquer finish for higher durability and radiance.
